We can help with

  • Depression

Depression is a very common but very difficult illness to deal with. It can be due to life’s challenges or sometimes it feels like it’s out of nowhere. Bringing low mood, low energy and motivation along with negative thinking and rumination. We use C.B.T. and a person centred approach to help clients start boosting their mood levels and regaining control and joy into their lives.

  • Anxiety

High levels of overthinking and worry coupled with physical symptoms make anxiety a very hard thing to manage alone. Unfortunately anxiety is very common. Learning how to understand a persons worries and skills to challenge these thoughts can assist someone learning to take back control over thoughts and feelings.

  • Relationship Difficulties

Sometimes key relationships in our lives can become very toxic and dysfunctional. Understanding our own role in it and learning about boundaries and communication can assist in repairing these relationships. These skills are transferable and can also be used in other areas of our lives. We help in identifying where we can effect positive change in these relationships.

  • O.C.D.

A very often misunderstood disorder, O.C.D. is a very challenging illness to manage. Presence of intrusive thoughts that come with high levels of stress and anxiety can leave clients stuck very easily. Using C.B.T. to learn how to identify these intrusive thoughts and how to challenge them gently can give someone a wonderful tool to help free them from these very scary thought patterns.

  • Panic Attacks/Disorder

Panic attacks can arrive out of the blue at times, with no warning or explanation. It can be very frightening and the fear of it happening again can lead someone to becoming hypervigilant and anxious. Learning how to recognise triggers ,how to calm the body and manage overthinking can assist in releasing from a pattern of panic.

  • Grief and Loss

Learning to navigate through grief can be very difficult. Our whole world changes when it is without a loved one or a familiar way of being. Loss can present in many ways not just when someone passes away. Having a qualified and understanding therapist with you through this process in itself makes it easier and less challenging. We offer empathy and gentle understanding in assisting the transition to a new way of being in the world.

  • Couples Therapy

The lifespan of a couple comes with many ups and downs. Ending up in sometimes becoming combative or difficulty understanding each other. Getting support to communicate effectively and hear each other can be an important step in moving things forward. We have 2 therapists that work with struggling couples.

  • Trauma

Trauma can take the ground from underneath us and leave us lost, not knowing how to cope and come back to ourselves. We work with trauma in a very gentle way to offer support and hope to find a way through. We find ways to anchor in the present and not fall back into the trauma where it is too painful. Ways to reconnect with the good things, feeling safe and moving forward.

  • Social Anxiety

Many people of all ages struggle with social anxiety. Overthinking and feeling extremely self conscious and self critical can leave someone robbed of social connections and fun. Through C.B.T. we look at ways of challenging and managing these thoughts to free up ways to connect and learn how to engage with others more comfortably.

  • Post Natal Depression

Becoming a parent can be wonderful, but very often the stress, tiredness and responsibility can leave us overwhelmed and lost. It can challenge our identity and lead to feelings of inadequacy and despair. These are common feelings and we offer non judgmental support to help understand these feelings and ways to feel more steady inside. You don’t have to go through this alone.
