What is Counselling and Psychotherapy?

Counselling and Psychotherapy are a talking therapy with a trained therapist who will listen and help you find ways to deal with emotional issues. We work in an non judgmental and empathic way to support you through difficult times.

How do I know if I need therapy?

Everyone at some stage will struggle with difficulties and will need support. If you are finding it hard to manage feelings or thoughts and feel overwhelmed, or if you are feeling anxious, stressed or sad on a regular basis then counselling can be a great support. Counselling is not just for crisis but for whenever we need some support and a space to start feeling better.

Is therapy confidential?

Yes therapy is confidential, however as therapists we have a legal obligation to adhere to Child Protection Act in the protection of children. Your therapist can answer any questions you have.

How long is a session?

Sessions are between 50-60 minutes depending on your therapist.

How many sessions will I need?

This is difficult to estimate. We have no set amount of sessions per client. Each counsellor will regularly review how therapy is going and will adjust what is needed specifically for each client.

How often will I need to attend?

Sessions are usually weekly and fortnightly but our therapists are happy to discuss what suits best for each client.

How much is a session?

Sessions cost between €60 and €75 depending on the therapist and therapy.

Are the counsellors fully qualified?

Yes. All our counsellors are fully qualified, members of IACP, fully insured and Garda Vetted.

When are appointments available?

We have daytime, evening and weekend appointments available.
